Clearwater Artificial Reef

This is a small portion of the Clearwater Reef. It is an artificial reef that began back in the 1970s by Dr. Heyward Mathews. It is composed primarily of concrete culverts and light poles. There is a section of old tires that have proven to be a great substrate for coral and benthic algae growth.
